Azia – Where authenticity meets fusion |
|
| Located at the Paramount Theatre building, Azia has smoothed its way into the downtown dining scene with the East meets West urban look and broad tempting menu selections. |
Azia presents cuisines of South East Asian in a brand new way. We’re not just talking about the fact that you can taste Cantonese Fried Rice, Szechuan Tantan noodle, Malaysian Laksa, Singapore Curry, Sushi and Sashimi all in one meal, but how authentic and brillianly plated each dish is.
So for Mother’s Day, in order to satisfy each family member’s particular taste bud, and to bring dear Mom a culinary tour of Asia without boarding the plane, Azia tops the list.

| Aurora Bistro – The famous little restaurant in East Vancouver |
|
| The amount of media and diners’ attention Aurora has been receiving since its opening may be overwhelming, but it’s all about Owner/Chef Jeffrey’s culinary magic. |

The décor is cozy and welcoming, often portraying the owner’s art philosophy; the food is unique and wholesome, a display of chef’s unique culinary characteristics. That’s exactly what Aurora offers here on Main & 8th.

| Bada Korean Restaurant – 100% home-made |
|
| Diners love Korean barbeques, but those small home-made cold plates of vegetables, kimchi and spiced roots that draw in the crowd night in and night out. At Bada, those 7 delightful cold plates are only the beginning of Bada style home-made dinners. |
Bada is an excellent example of a Mama and Papa joint, but this time, it’s the wife Mrs. Sun who looks after the kitchen while Mr. Sun greets the customers out front.
“Actually, I’m a cook too! I prepare the food during off hours.” says Mr. Sun, who also runs a whole/retails Food Company selling authentic Korean dried food using local ingredients. “We export them back to Korea too.” Sun explains.
How good is their home-made food? All it takes is one meal at Bada then you’ll be totally impressed, especially after trying dishes not found elsewhere. Raw Blue Crab in strong pickled marinates; Monk Bean Salad and the Dried Fish Hot-pot Soup.
